  • Green flashes during playback

    Hi,

    I have a G400 + RR-G. I'm using Ulead MSP 5.0 to put together my vacation movie.
At this point I would like to export my movie to video tape (using the DVDMax
option of my Matrox videocard). I use the cutlist method of Ulead (because the
movie has a duratin of 1 hour) ... so I can see the preview on my TV. Sometimes
I can see a green flash on my TV. I have seen the same problem also when playing
a video-file with the Matrox VCR Remote program (so the problem is software
    independent).

In another article on this forum I've read something about the datarate that
should be to high. Is this correct? What can I do to solve my problem?

The movie is captured at the highest MJPEG quality. I really don't want to
capture the movie again. I still can render my complete movie again by Ulead
MSP 5.0 ... perhaps at a lower MJPEG quality. Will this solve my problem?
How low do I have to put my quality?

Or can I try to overclock (or underlock) my G400? Which values do I have to
use in this case? I have never done this before.

I really hope to solve this matter.

The first couple of releases of Media Player 6.4 had this problem with the Matrox drivers. It was, IIRC, the YUV overlay. Try disabling various overlays and see if it helps.
