  • W2k/5.14 Driver Problems - Corruption

Hi, I posted this earlier on Matrox's forum but I thought I'd this a try as well.

I'm having video corruption problem with the Win 2k 5.14 drivers. I can install them fine and on the initial reboot everything looks ok, but on the a subsequent reboot i can no longer change to different color depths and resolutions without screen corruption. It's starts with the desktop icons and gets worse. This problem never occurs with 5.10. I have tried uninstalling/reinstallling with PDUNISTALL, going into safe mode and try eliminate any/all presense of previous G400 drivers to no avail. I also tried the recover util on M's website to reflash the bios but still the same problem occurs.

    My system specs below:
    Win 2k/Sp1
Asus P3BF 1006 Revision BIOS (Aperture set to 256)
    ACPI Enabled and working
    G400 MAX
    FastTrack
    SBLive
    Intel 100 Nic

    My IRQ's
    IRQ Number Device
    9 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
    9 Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead - English
9 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
    9 Creative SB Live! (WDM)
    9 Win2000 Promise FastTrak66 (tm) Controller (PDC20262)
    9 Intel(R) PRO/100+ Management Adapter #3
    8 System CMOS/real time clock
    13 Numeric data processor
    6 Standard floppy disk controller
    4 Communications Port (COM1)
    3 Communications Port (COM2)
1 Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard
    14 Primary IDE Channel
    15 Secondary IDE Channel

Can I have a defective card? Kind hard to believe since 5.10 don't exhibit these issues. Sorry for the long post but any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
Working...
