  • TV on old millenium 1

Motherboard Abit Se6 128 Mb (in the 815e the graphics is desactivate in win98se cause can't do it in bios)
    OS win98se
drivers Matrox 4.12 (last forMill 1) IRQ 11
but also try 4.30 given with Win98se

i just make a vga/scart card i found at http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/c...v/circuit.html and define in MGA.MON a PAL monitor using specifications found at http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/c...matrox_tv.html

The card works great and i can boot and see my desk (640*480) on the TV but when i try to play animation (AVI,MPG with media player or game demo) my system stop responding.

Afer further investigations i can tell some facts :
With normal Matrox monitors, everything go well (i can play animations on my monitor).
With My user Defined monitor (TV: PAL interlaced 50 Hz), as i said before animations hang BUT, if in DXdiag (directX 7.0a) I disable Directdraw Animations all works FINE.
So, could somebody just tell me why the definition of the monitor could hang the computer in this case and where i can find some informations about that problem, may be help to properly define monitor
    Thanks
