S-video and DVDmax out problems

I tried hooking up my Svideo Cable to my G400MAx this afternoon and I couldn't get any output to my Sony TV. I then went and hooked up a RCA cable to the pigtail and I had no problems with DVD out. Is there any way I can trouble shoot for the Svideo problem or should I just live with the RCA output???

I don't know about your TV, but mine has a "switch" for using the svideo and different modes on the OSD.
