Using mixing non-matrox cards for a dual monitor setup.

Hi:
I'm a new RT2000 users and would like to have a dual monitor setup again. I've been looking for a G200 PCI card (OEM - I don't want to pay $170.00 when bought from Matrox) in Toronto but have been unable to find one.

My question is: Has anyone been able to use two monitors with a card from other companies? I plan on running mostly Win2k when it's ready.

Do you have a specific combo in mind?

3dfx cards (the V3 PCI 2000s and 3000s) are reasonably compatible, and reasonably priced. Under Win2K, I've been able to get them to work as secondaries with just about everything.
