  • Powerleap Adapter

Hi. I have a Matrox G400 (tv out) with 6.04 drivers. Pentium II 266. I put the powerleap adapter in w/633 Celeron and I can't boot into windows. I put my 266 back in and disabled bus mastering in advanced display options. Pc booted fine, and the games played great. I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 98. Now I can't boot up again with the adapter. Even if I disable bus mastering (AGP) it still doesn't work. I'm waiting to hear from Powerleap but any suggestions would help.

Assuming that you were using that P2 with an older LX or FX motherboard, you probably will need an updated BIOS to use the Celeron II, and may not be able to use it at all if the board doesn't support the lower voltages needed by the Coppermine core (this is NOT handled by the adapter). Check the manufacturer's site to see if it is in fact supported.
