  • hellllpp!!

    i just purchased a g400 but it wont play nice with my creative live sound card.everytime i install the software for the
    sound card my cdroms are no longer active .can anyone help me pleassse!!!

    btw,i have a celeron+slotkey,msi bxmaster mobo,128mg.cannot find any conflicts

          If your SBLive is in pci slot #1 (just below the g400) then you should move the SBlive to another slot, it could be irq related!?

          Anyway we need more info, what system are you running and it would be nice to get an irq listing as well.

            Are the CD-ROMs by any chance connected to the SB-Live? It looks like a strange IRQ collision though, so do show us the IRQ listing. How to do so? Here's how to do so

                HI,

                What if you install the windows default drivers for your sound card... do you still get the same problem?

                Win2K has SB Live drives built into them (even if these drivers are referred to as WDM drivers, they are the SB Live drivers that was included into the win2K library).

                try that and see if that helps.
