    Problem descrption:
    After installing Operating System on a formatted Hard Disk, I installed Matrox PowerDesk. I reboot the Personal Computer. On StartUp Windows 98se displays this error message window:
    Dispaly adapter.
    Dispaly adapter conflicts with another computer peripheral. To correct …

    My PC configuration is:

    Matrox PowerDesk: latest (beta_w9x601.exe)

    Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Device Manager-Display Adapters-Property

    Is impossible to find free input/output (I/O) range resources (Code 12)
    A peripheral that uses the needed resources must be disabled.

    Try setting your
    Video Bios Cachable to disable
    AGP Aperture Size to 64M or higher
    Init Display First to AGP

      try looking in device manager in safe mode for possible problem device.

        Have you installed the latest VIA 4 in 1's??
        If not, do so, and make sure that you install them FIRST--after formatting and installing the OS.--Then proceed to your G400 install.

        Also, go in to your BIOS and temporarily disable all power management, and be sure your Assign IRQ to VGA is enabled and PNP OS Aware is disabled.
