  • Dual Head with 2nd Monitor

I'm having a problem with the DualHead feature. I attached a 2nd monitor, but it's not working. It works fine if I attach a TV, but not a monitor. How can I change that?

    Thanks

    Dave

What exactly is happening? When the TV is connected, disable dual head completely, shut down, remove the TV and connect the monitor. Boot up and then re enable the dual head.

I have never had the TV connected until I started troubleshooting this problem. I've tried rebooting with the monitor attached with no luck. I've been working with Matrox support, and have since unpdated the bios and reset all the internal settings. So far nothing has worked. It's almost like the card is not able to tell the difference between a TV and Monitor.

Are you using a marvel G400 TV ?
If it is the case what cable do you use to connect your 2nd monitor?

If you plug in a TV and it works you will then have to unplug that and then plug the monitor in and restart your computer.
