Green Horizontal Line - Top of screen

hi, ever since i upgraded to win95 osr2 my computer has been crashing, and i get one thing green horizontal line 2cm below the top of my monitor...this may help explain the problem:

what could be the problem? how can i fix this??? this never happened before i upgraded to osr2

Was that a clean re-install or a upgrade over the top?
Have tried forcing x1 agp mode if it's running in agp X2. You can download a matrox utility to do this for you?
Have download the latest Ali drivers?
The latest Directx?
Also can you provide a full irq list as well.

Q. Windows 9x locks up just before the startup sound, and a thin green line appears across the top of the screen. How can I fix it?

This seems to be caused by the Backup utility supplied with Windows 9x attempting to detect new tape devices on boot. You can fix it by renaming the files drvwppqt.vxd and drvwq117.vxd in the Windows\System\Iosubsys directory. If you find this causes your tape drive to stop working, you'll have to rename the files back. You can safely delete the files if you don't have a tape drive or don't get problems.

Another possible fix is to simply disable the startup sound.

the pit: your a genius, i have the latest drivers, but pci list shows agp 2x, and the g200 + ali + agp2x = big time problems
