  • Fun with Abit KA7, G400, and 4x AGP

    a. do not use the RX BIOS, it doesn't like it, RK is working MUCH better!! I had memory range errors with my SCSI card big time.

    b. The PowerDesk 6 Beta has been much more stable at 4X AGP than any of the regular driver releases. 4X mode without PD 6 caused major video problems!!

    c. I had to use the utility to force the 4X mode.

    Hope it helps someone!

Abit fixed whatever it was they broke with respect to the G400 in their RY *beta* BIOS, from what I understand. There have been a number of reported issues with the RX BIOS, but the G400 has been cited in every fix list I've seen for RY.
