For the most part, no, you can not use the Matrox DVD player in Win2k. It is not supposed to be Win2k compliant. I have seen a couple people claim it works, emphasis on a couple.

I have the 5.03 driver for Win2k and it works great, although your mileage may vary depending on your other hardware/software installed. Some use the 5.04 drivers for their MAX.

Other DVD players that work with Win2k are WinDVD and PowerDVD. I use WinDVD 1.3.5. WinDVD 2000 is also compatable with Win2k. Not sure about PowerDVD versions, although a number of other MURCers use it, so I'm sure they can help you with that.
Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

I have tired both winDVD2000 and powerDVD 2.5, I could only get powerdvd to work on my system.. Nice picture, i use it with the 5.04 drivers.
