  • G400 Problems with GigaByte ga7ixe

My system is an Athlon 600 Sound Blaster Live Netgear Ethernet card, and USR modem. G400 is at IRQ11, Netgear is at IRQ 10, and Sound Blaster is at IRQ9, no conflicts. I am using an Antec PP303x power supply, AMD approved, and Crucial Tech PC133 128 meg mem. I have rebuilt the system with WIN98SE. I started the rebuild with only the Matrox g400 in the system, loaded all of the AMD drivers, and then installed each additional card independantly, with a reboot in between. I am running in AGP 1x mode. My problem is that the system will reboot with a plaid screen, and the only way to correct is to remove the matrox drivers, and reinstall. The driver rev, is 5.52. Any suggestions?

I had such a problem once, using windows default display driver it's ok, but when using matrox drivers, windows will reboot just before switching into graphics mode.
Went away after a switch the PCI slot for sblive. Suspect it's a IRQ sharing problem.
    Regards.
