I believe these are just drivers that are Microsoft Certified, no named fixes in this release.

It might be a coincidence then. I haven't gotten the typical blue screen yet. But it's only been 15 minutes. And I'd swear it was a hair faster in UT.

Yeah, everettes, the 5.04 drivers are the MS Certified ones. Didn't you notice that you didn't get the warning about unsigned drivers?

I knew they were the certified ones. But was hoping there were a few improvements. If these are the ecact same as the last release, I'll eat my shorts. It might not be much, but something has changed since the 5.03 release.

BTW, I have my ketchup ready just in case.

I guess we'll know tommorrow. I've gotta go study. Two MS exams on Monday. I'll finish reading my newsgroups, then I'm off to the coffee, C-Span and books. Nice to know I'm not the only night owl. But then again I have no idea where you are. Might be early there. 1am here (EST) in Virginia.

It must be new drivers since the package is again a big bit smaller. Let's see:

The beta drivers started out at 4.2 MB like the Win 9x ones.

                5.03 is 3.4 MB

                and

                5.04 is 3.0 MB

Yeah, they are different drivers. But, as I said, these are for MS Certification, there aren't any named fixes in this release...only changes to get MS Certified.

                        Awright!

The new drivers fixed my UT crashes with dual processors. Can one of the beta boyz confirm whether these drivers are actually SMP-fixed?

                            Rahul,

No, they aren't the "SMP fixed" drivers. As I said before, the only changes were for MS Certification.
