  • MSI 6163Pro and G400 issues in VGA???

Just installed a new mobo, MSI 6163Pro.

Everything is okay, except no video until actually booting into Win 98.

Called MSI, they said there is a problem with their board and the G400.

Will updating the bios on my G400 help?
    Anyone heard of this?

I've got an MSI 6163pro and a G400MAX. I don't have the same problems you do. But sometimes my comp freezes on the POST screen and the little lights on the mobo indicate that it's testing the VGA bios.
I tryed another video card(TNT) and same thing so I don't think its the video.
What number did you use to call MSI? I need to ask them some questions myself.

I have the slightly older 6163 v.1, and don't have these problems.
