  • W2k plus g400 and Unreal Turnament

Hi. I'm not a games maniac, but recently I upgraded my system to p3 600e o/c 800 with 384mb ram on board, and just want to test it how fast is it compare to my old system (p3 450 o/c 600 and 256mb ram)
I decided that I will use UT as a bench but I don't know how to install it and setup. When I installed it and run it told me that my card (video) could be find and gave me only one choice (software rendering)
What else should I install??? Do I need turbo GL drivers ???
    thanx

Any one can me recommend bench soft under w2k??????

After what period of time I can be sure that my system if %100 stable when it is overclock.

Uh, I'm not to sure about the Win2K part of this! I dual boot and have it installed under Win98SE.

However, my first guess would be that you need to install at least the 402, or 405b, patch for it to recognize the G400. I do know that UT is supposed to run properly under Win2K. And I'd imagine there aren't any issues with the G400. Try the "patch"!

I'll answer you although I believe this belongs in the games forum. UT shipped with the bug of not detecting alot of highend video cards correctly. I believe there is a box selection for all modes or something when you first run it and it shows software rendering. Select that and pick direct3d. If you have already gone past that start the game and go to the pref. menu I believe and change your mode to direct3d.
