  • MSi 6167 +amd athlon + G400+turbogl =.....

When I try to activate the turbogl driver for Quake3 I only get to see a white flickering screen. Does anybody have the same problem?
Also when I use the agp miniport drivers (either those on the Cd-rom with my motherboard or the latest ones win98Se only shows a screen full of garbage.

Can you set your AGP Aperture to 256? I think that is one of the things Matrox says to do to avoid this problem.

Do you have the latest BIOS version for the motherboard?

The best work-around for this problem is to 'delete' (i.e. rename) the VIAGART.VXD in your system directory. Doing this TurboGL should work.
Major draw-back: it is possible that your system hangs upon shutting down.
This 'fix' is being a subject in previous threads, have a look.

I'll try all those suggestions, but I also have trouble with the AGP drivers(that were on the cdrom with my motherboard and also the newest ones(1.60). Win98Se refuses to boot with them, I only see a screen full of garbage. The only solution to make win work again is by deleting several devices in safe mode and rebooting. Any ideas? and thanks for the suggestions!
