Poor sound playback w/ RR-G

Captured video looks fine but sounds choppy, regardless of capture settings. I can record clear sound from the RR-G using the Windows Sound Recorder as long as I am not trying to record video at the same time. In scanning through this forum I've come across some references to a problem with the SB Live card that I am using. Is there anything to it? Or can I just change a setting somewhere?
