I have just changed my flickering G400 16MB part for a new, albeit identical, card. I have
the same flickering problem, though this time it does not seem to be as bad as before. But
I wonder if it gets worse with time...
There is something clearly wrong with a significant number of the G400 16MB parts. I think
Matrox should at least acknowledge the problem, explain its causes, and do something about
it. The whole issue is even more interesting as the problem does not seem to be
heat-related since all the cards I have tried, 3 in total, function correctly (in 3D, for
example) at speeds that exceed the manufacturer's specifications.
