My only question is the release notes. No fixes listed. But look at known issues:
      - Opening numerous OGL applications may result in a blue
screen error. If you plan on opening an OGL application,
closing it, and then opening another OGL application, you
will have to reboot in between each application.
This is a pretty big issue to still be outstanding. Well I'll have to wait until I get home before I give er a try.

        Least it's not a beta.
I was hopping this was going to have refresh rate settings but it doesn't. But I feel better using non beta drivers than beta on my system. I ran powerDVD worked fine as before, I ran quake II ran perfect.

Also there still isn't any uninstall option so you have to do it manualy which isn't that difficult anyways.

It fixed my desktop corruption after leaving UT.

That was the only problem I had

Any idea whether these will work with Build 2128? Or am I forced to go with final release?

                Thanks!
Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

Probably with final, 2128 is a bit dated and all drivers are being made to work with 2195. Time to upgrade

Anyone having success with dual-processor machines? The last set of drivers would lock up my computer when running a D3D or OGL app. When it didn't freeze, 3D performance was very poor (slower than my TNT).

yup, better upgrade... since any manufacturers will not help you if you do not have the final release... and well... it was beta for a reason (but then again if that was the case, Microsoft should always write beta release on their boxes

well.. just tried the upgrade with my dual system.. i ran UT and it worked for about hmm.. 10 min (MUCH better than the 5 sec i got from the last driver), but eventually it hanged so back to disabling the bus mastering.. damn i wish those programmers would at least tell us what's being fix in those drivers *stare*

No Luck here. These drivers are still very unstable in OpenGL unless I load up with uniprocessor HAL. Machine is also locking up after a few minutes in Q3, with smp disabled. If I enable it, bombs out even quicker. I'll do a bit more testing tonight, but it looks like I will be sticking with 5.01 until the next release.

I think I asked this before, does anyone know if Matrox have a multiprocessor machine?

I have that damned BUS Mastering problem also, although in some games it doesnt give me problems, like Quake 3 runs fine, but I think thats because it uses OGL, UT is D3D and it freezes after 13 min., Homeworld also freezes cause it uses D3D after 3 minutes, plus it wrecks havoc on Revenant after a few minutes.

I sure wish they would address this problem. Has anyone else had this problem, is it because of SMP, or does it happen on single processor systems also ?

I feel for you SMP fellows. I say if matrox doesn't get it right and soon, we all take a trip the great white north and blast "Blame Canada" throughout the building and stand over their shoulders until they fix all the bugs......maybe not all.
