  • font corruption with 8MB upgrade in W2K?

I have a Marvel G200 in W2K. Works fine as purchased. I recently bought an 8MB upgrade module (total of 16 MB), and now see font corruption. It behaves as if my memory is bad (ie, the fonts "heal" sometimes if I pass another window over them).

I assume I have bad memory, but hope that it is perhaps a driver problem? Does anybody else see this behavior with the 8MB upgrade in W2K?

latest BIOS, included driver (in W2K0.

    thx,
    jpb

Have you tried re-seating the memory module and/or the video card in the AGP slot? May be a poor connection.

      Bad memory.
Did you get it from Matrox, or is it a 3rd-party module? Those are frequently bad (had one myself).
