  • 5.52 + g400max = do I really need dx7a?

I have a g400max and am contemplating using the new 5.52 drivers.
    Do you really need dx7a?

Or do they run just fine with dx6.1 (win98)?

    thanks!!

Uh i would get DX7 if i where you. Its just a good idea to have the most up to date drivers possiable. It also helps you rule out anything being wrong with DX....

DX7 is recommended with latest Powerdesk drivers.

      DX7a updates only Directinput files.

Dx7a sorts conflicts between input devices and usb I believe.

          PD5.5x are drivers based upon DX7 ...

If you really want to stick with DX6, you should use PD5.41 which was the latest build for DX6 ...

            Thanks.

I'll stick with 5.41 then, as dx7 screws up some of my flight sims.
