  • Is it okay to disable powerdesk at startup?

I was wondering if it is necessary to have powerdesk run at startup or can I remove it from the registry to save on resources?
    Thanks,

I always take Powerdesk out of my startup.

Same here. Waste of resources, especially on Windows 9x.

Unchecking 'load PowerDesk' in display properties doesn't always do the trick - you might have to get rid of the registry entry that runs it at startup.
If you need a powerdesk function when it isn't loaded (like a desktop scheme) you can always use the Pdeskcmd.exe in \windows\system\.

There is no such option, you're confusing it with quickdesk.
