  • Marvel G400 vicious cycle of hell - shuts down on boot

I'm currently locked into this vicious cycle with my Marvel G400-TV where after getting my resolution and color depth settings just the way I want them, the next time I start my machine, it unexpectedly shuts down at the exact moment the Win98 desktop is about to display!!! The bootlog shows that this occurs when display.drv is loaded. The next time I boot, it forces Win98 into Standard VGA mode with the message that there is something wrong with my display drivers. I then have to reset the color depth and restart. When the display is finally set again, suddenly my USB devices are disabled! How could Powerdesk be affecting the rest of my devices? There are no IRQ conflicts or shared IRQ's for that matter.

Any ideas? Anyone else experienced this?
