    Windows 2000 Pro Final Beta question


    Could all you that have used this with the Matrox beta g400 drivers please list for me all of the problems that you have had and the windows 2000 pro problems you have had in general? I have a K6-2 450, 128 megs of sdram and G400 32 SH and I am flirting with installing Windows 2000 pro. I play alot of games and do alot of internet as well as other things Thx Jediphoenix

    yeah... here's a good problem for you that i have yet to solve... win2k doesnt want to recognize the matrox beta drivers. i install them, and when i reboot it tells me the drivers are meant for a previous version of windows. interesting huh..

    oh, and im running the final release of windows....

      I'd be more worried about the chipset on your motherboard.

        The G400 is prolly the best supported card out there under Win2000. I'm with Paul on this one: Worry about everything else first, especially on a Socket7 system...

          Half-Life crashed alot for me when I tried(blue screen, complete system lockup), sometimes it ran for a minute or two.. Have not tried with the latest G400 drivers though but I will later today..

            well I have a FIC PA-2013 Rev 2.0 mobo with the MPV3 chipset. any problems with that and win2k pro?
