  • new Win2K drivers: no D3D, no AGP

Hi there. Just installed the new Win2K drivers for my G400. As a result, Direct3D and AGP have been switched off (DirectX diagnostic tool says so anyways). I went back to the old drivers, but D3D and AGP keep turned off.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you running NetMeeting or some other remote control app the hooks into the video? If so, exit them before running dxdiag.

      PaulS,

thanks. I was in fact running netmeeting. After I exited it, my D3D came back in DXDiag. This is wierd.

So is Netmeeting really turning off D3D or is this just a "display issue" within DXDiag? Any more information on this?

      Thanks,
      Sascha

NetMeeting has always interfered with DD/D3D on NT, even if remote desktop sharing is disabled. MS have a fix slated for NM 4, whenever that comes out.
