New 400max .which drivers 5.30 or 5.41

    New 400max .which drivers 5.30 or 5.41

    I'm new to the forum and have just purchased the G400 max for my Athlon 500 system. I have seen lots of posts about useing the 5.30 and 5.41 drivers. Which set should I use? Is there a big difference between the 2?

    I am a gamer, but not a big tweaker. I like to set it up, and run it. So I would like a trouble free set of drivers, or as close to trouble free as possible.

    128MB PC100 Micron
    SB Live Value!
    Sony CD Rom
    Iomega Zip CD-RW
    Modem Blaster

    Also, I should note that I have also ordered a new Antec PP-303x 300 watt power supply. Thanks for your help

    i've been running 5.41 for a while and they are very stable and quick

      Try 5.41, and if there are problems drop back to 5.30 - 5.41 has trouble on most SS7 boards and SOME Athlon boards.

        Well they are not entirely stable on every system but the Beta 5.5 drivers are extemely fast. They run great on my system now... I just got a new Harddrive and reinstalled Win98 2nd edition and they run great. Before the reinstallation the only problem I had was games that ran openGL would crach when I closed the game. Not that big of a deal to me for the added performance.

          5.30 or 5.41?!!!! Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm
          why not 5.50(beta)?
          I use those one´s, they are very good, stable and fast.

            My personel opinion is that you used the 5.41. And when the 5.50 will be officiely release then you can used it.
