SiSoft reports my aperture 64 instead of 128 or 256... how do i change it? im on 1x cause 2x crashes sometimes

It's a (mainboard) BIOS setting. Find the correct setting and change it to 128, or even 256 if you feel adventurous...

        Zwisch,

You say that the phoenix bios is no good @ 64. That is interesting cause at work we use (unfortunatly) se440bx2 mobo and they were running dog slow in refreash etc with the ibm 740i agp card. All pc's have 64mb running nt4. I changed the setting to 256 and they run like a dream.

I knew of some issues with certain video card that did not boot when these BIOS where set at 64 but didn't know that this would solve other problems.. good coincidence that I mentionned it I guess

your aperture size you should either equal or half the size of your total RAM in your system... no need at all to put it higher... (unless you have one of those phoenix bios that does not work in 64...)

"good" aperture size varies from computer to computer - setit in BIOS and run some BIG texture benchmark - change aperture and try again....
