  • Powerdesk on bootup...

    Hi!

As default, Powerdesk will startup whenever Windows boots.

I happen to find out from Norton SI that Powerdesk uses abt 1.75Mb of RAM by staying residence in the background. Quite a hefty amount of precious RAM if you ask me!!

I juz wanna know whether there will be anything problematic or if things may go wrong if I disable Powerdesk from starting up on Win98SE boot.

    Thanx!

If you happen to use some of the customizations like Icons locations and such than they won't work but otherwise everything should be fine. I haven't loaded it in the tray or at startup and I haven't missed anything yet. Personally, I like to have as much system resources free at bootup as I can because Win98 is so damn poor at memory management.
