  • G400MAX & Abit?

Does anyone think there will be any problems running a G400MAX and Abit BE6-II MainBoard?

The main issue has been seating the G400 properly with some ABIT/Case combinations.

I posted these awhile ago in a Thread concerning ABIT boards.

Here's what I think is happening with some cases/mother boards.

      Other things to do:
IRQ's: Make sure the G400 is on IRQ 9 or higher. And leave the first PCI slot under the AGP slot empty.

AGP Aperature: In the system Bios set the aperature to 128 or 256.

Ok, thanx alot, I'm planning to get a PIII600E and the Abit BE6-II soon, and I've got a G400MAX right now...

About bending your card, that looks kinda bad? :/

How much can I clock the CPU with a standard box cooler, and 66/100MHz RAM? The 66MHz RAM I have now runs at 112MHZ...

Well I didn't have to bend My G400. The only problem was that windoze 98 got it's knickers in a twist re-assigning irq's and kept hanging and corrupting drivers. The board was an upgrade because I needed a few more pci slots. The solution was to re-install windoze 98 then re-install from the backup and everything worked. My NT which is supposed to be pain plug and play wise took it in it's stride and worked first time.
