  • Matrox TS emailed me a utility..how do I remove it?

In trying to troubleshoot my G400's woes, Matrox TS emailed me a 191k file (matroxutility.exe I think it was called). I think it was supposed to force 1x AGP. I ran it and it simply said it had installed and wanted to reboot. OK. Now UT doesn't want to start up.
I've already yoinked the card out in anticipation of a soon to be coming RMA (hint, hint, whoever from Matrox TS that might see this), but how do I remove whatever changes this utility might have done? There is no program group, and it doesn't show up in the 'add/remove programs' app. Should I just run the force 2x AGP reg hack?

    Thanks

I would try the reg hack which enables the default setting for AGP transfer.

      Hi DS,

that util changes settings in our registry. It will prevent the test script during boot up and also force our card to 1x.

To get rid of it, you can uninstall our drivers and then re-install them.

For RMA issues, tech supp can only process them. Once this is done, RMA contacts back the client with an RMA # and shipping instructions.

        Thanks Haig, I'll do that.
And I think I got my problems solved anyway. I'll have to wait until I get home tonite to try it out on my own machine.
