Well, TV's usually are OK with Macrovision. Are you routing the signal through a VCR? That would cause the effects you mentioned, and in that case you should try a direct connection to your TV.

What do you mean how? Do you have one of those old antique tv's that only has a coax in?

In that case, I think you have no hope unless you can find a coax-composite converter somewhere.

OK, so you are sying your TV only has one "video in" or "EXT" connection. I have not seen TVs like that for a long time now. Could you state whta kind of Video connectors you have, maybe we can come up with something...

How do you connect your VCR?

                Hi Chip

I dont know wher you live, but I can say that there are RCA to coax converters to be found. I live in Sweden and I bought one in a regular TV-supplier, kinda like "RadioShack" in the states.
Go ask a TV-dealer, or a TV-repair company - they have the strangest things ....

                Regards

                        chihuang....

you can buy macrovision/copy protection items as "video clarifiers" from mail order catalog places like DAMARK, Heartland America, etc. etc.

Or, you can look in some magazines like Electronics Now and Popular Electronics. Always a place selling something of the like in the back or sidebar somewhere.

Where can I find out more about Macrovision? I'd like to build my own filter, if it's reasonable -- I'm fairly competent in an electronics lab.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

ya wanna learn more about macrovision you say? go to www.dr7.com
                            and start reading.
                            you can build a filter.
there is software for ati cards to turn off the macrovision, should be something like that for g400.i do not know if it exists or not.the ati hack does not work on g400.
