    G400 32 meg Vannila with 5ns sgram overclock question

    I apologize in advance. I believe I have asked this before but I cant remember the answer I got. I have a K6-2 450 with 128 megs sdram and a Vanilla G400 32 SH with the 5ns SGRAM (guess im lucky)I cannot afford to upgrade my processor anytime soon but I was wondering if it was worth overclocking the G400 since it has the 5ns Sgram? Please advise and I apologize again for the double posting.Jediphoenix

    course it's worth it. Be careful not to go to high too quickly. Gradually increase the speed until you start getting weird stuff and then back off to where it ran fine. Extra fans help.

      Even though im CPU limited? Will it really make that much difference?

        yes, sure ...

        you cannot expect the performance of an athlon, but you'll notice more horsepower and stamina, i.e. less slowdowns, more fluid gameplay.

        Add proper cooling, grab matrox's own OCer, as it's dead easy to use and bump it up !
