  • TV-Out Macrovision

I'm using a software DVD player with the tv-out of my Marvel to watch some rental DVD's...

But as soon as the movie starts, my tv-out gets weird.... like macrovision... it makes sense...
but i'm not trying to copy it... i'm just trying to Watch it !

My tv-out of the marvel is connected to a VTR who in turn modulates RF signal for my TV ( my TV has no rca Video IN connector).

is there a way to shut off that macrovision OUT signal so i can watch my movies...

( if i knew... i just bought my DVD player Pionneer DVD 114, and rented 3 DVD to "test" )

You could use a software player like WinDVD or Cinemaster. There are Macrovision cracks for those Players all over the web.

    Try www.dvdutils.com

The new MAtroxDVD player works with the Cinemaster engine. Why not try to update it with the cracked engine on this site. I dont know if this works but it is worth a try.

i would like this facility too,
but i looked all over dvdutils and couldnt find a patch
there is a mention that the 1.28 cinemaster engine is without macrovision, but doesnt going back an engine from my current version(1.36) incur playback problems, with the matrix or the mummy, ect????

do you know of a simple hack or patch to apply instead of sacrifcing DVD compatability?

        Hi, Thanks for the answers...

I've been to that site, but with no luck...

There are cracks, but dead links... etc...

i found on a forum something interesting... and found a way from there.

The person enabled his TVOUT ...after... the DVDPlayer started the movie...

Of course, it didn't work with my Marvel G200...
but i manage to achieve the same result... here's how...

        - i start the DVDPlayer the usual way
        - then i do a PAUSE at the begining of the movie
        - I turn ON TVOUT in video settings
        - i go to Monitor setting....Adjust current display mode
        - i Click CANCEL
        - i get out of Display settings

        Et voila...

It seems to disable TVOUT Macrovision untill next time you press PLAY on the DVDPlayer...

        I'm using Power DVD..

I'm going to do further tests to see if it works with other DVD's
