        It could be anything,
        Hardware revisions, disparities in manufacturing, peripherals, favorite type of cheese, sign of the zodiac.

        Don't need to worry about it anyway, AGP 1x will suit you fine.
        Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

          And why do some poeple have to force AGP x2 and others do not. Me thinks the matrox agp test ain't too smart.
