  • Is there any way to get 320x200 true and hicolor modes working in DOS

Is there any way to get following modes work in pure MS-DOS

    320x200 15bpp
    320x200 16bpp
    320x200 24bpp
    320x200 32bpp

    320x240 15bpp
    320x240 16bpp
    320x240 24bpp
    320x240 32bpp

I would like to use these modes in dos,
    but they aren't working .
    What should I do?

    I have matrox g400 max

true lamers don't just write lame text, they are usingLAMERIZER

go and fetch your very own lamerizer from EXEC

Go here and download the Gx00vbe VESA driver for DOS.

I tried that VESA extender program, and it didn't work too well for me. Only worked on a few old DOS programs, but not on some emulators I run. Oh well, guess I have to deal with 640x480x16bpp in dos, not that I'm complaining. :P

Thanks for that address the VESA extender really works. Finally I can see those demos
the way they were ment to be.
