  • Rainbow Runner use an IRQ???

I currently have a Max on my K7M, with a K7 650, 256 megs of HSDRAM PC133, and Adaptec 2940U2W...due to having the SCSI, I am only running the primary IDE, and the FD controller is off...anyway, I am going to purchase the RR and wondered if it uses an IRQ (I know nothing about the RR, know that my two Voodoo 2s in my secondary machine don't use IRQ)...and if I might have any conflict related problems...
The K7 mobos aren't real easy to switch IRQs around...
    Thanks,
    Kelin

No, the RR doesn't require an IRQ of its own. It does need the "host" card (your MAX in this case) to have an IRQ assigned tho. This is usually automatic, but you can check by looking at your device manager

Thankz...I had a feeling that due to the RR being a "Daughter Card" it would not take up an IRQ....
