  • Millenium G200 problem?

My millenium g200 has been working fine until i try to update the driver then i lose my sound. I have a sound blaster live card that shares irq with my video card. is there a way to have my video card on its own irq? I tried to change it through windows and windows will not allow any changes to either card. My motherboard is a Soyo EMA+ ver.1.1 and i have a AMD K6-2 450 processor.
    My IRQ'S are as follows:

    00 System timer
    01 Standard 101/102-keyboard
    02 Programmable interrupt controller
    03 HCF 56k, V.90 internal
    04 Communications Port(COM1)
    05 Creative SB16 Emulation
    06 Standard Floppy Disk Controller
    07 ECP Printer Port(LPT1)
    08 System CMOS/real time clock
10 IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
10 Via Tech PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
    11 Creative SB Live! Value
11 IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
    11 Matrox Millenium G200 AGP - English
    12 PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port
    13 Numeric data processor
14 Via Bus Master PCI IDE Controller(UDMA)
14 Primary Bus Master IDE controller(dual fifo)
15 Via Bus Master PCI IDE controller(UDMA)
15 Secondary Bus Master IDE controller(dual fifo)

If you need more info i'll be glad to supply it.

Most likely your SB Live is in the PCI slot closest to the AGP slot. Most motherboards hardwire PCI slot #0 and AGP slot to use the same IRQ. I would suggest moving the SB Live to a different PCI slot.

      Hi Fox ?!!!
try this away, go to your comp propreties and
remove both, live and grafic drivers. Than Go to save mode and check if they are there, if so remove both in safe mode. Boot comp and check again...
      It might give.
      Good luck...
