  • new TurboGL question

    Ok, here goes.

TGL used to be for P3/K7 only, because it was using SSE / Enhanced 3Dnow!. What is it using now?

    Thanks!
Asus K7M, Athlon 500 (sometimes at 550), G400 32mb DH, SB Live! Value, Optiquest 17" V73, Western Digital Expert 13.6 7200rpm, Datatrain DC154 14", Yamaha 4416s, STB Tv Tuner, TekRam SCSI card, 128MB RAM, Cambrige PCworks 4pt surround, Lexmark 5700, SupraExpress 56k), RealTek ethernet card.

erm... it activates the built-in T&L capabilities in the G400?

ok, ok, I´ll stop with the bad jokes for today

Now for serious, it can only be highly optimized code (as a MCD is meant to be) and with the advantage that it can be tweaked for each processor in its own. It still could be using 3DNow! in the K6-2 and 3, but, with my celery, it can only be using MMX

No, wait, to be honest, the Celeron and PII always had SSE built in but Intel disabled it....
