I have never flashed the bios on my Matrox Max, is there any REAL benefit in doing so. ????

Is 1.5-22 = bios_1.04? If not where can I get revision 1.05? The newest publicy available is bios_1.04. There is no new biosfile on matrox ftp-server!

generally "not publically available" means exactly what it says, it aint available to the general public. So why would it be on the matrox ftp?

Yes, updating the BIOS can be beneficial... But if you on't have any problems, don't bother.

Remeber that the file BIOS_104 contains the info for G200 also.. it's jsut a file name and has nothing to do with your BIOS version... It will bring you up to date to version 1.5 with the G400 and to 2.6 with G200 cards.

This is the latest you can have, any newer file are internal beta and should not even be mentioned. Of course that there are also new drivers and BIOS on the works, it doesn't mean that they are ready to be released for several reasons.

I downloaded the bios104 and tried to install it on my G400 MAX. It told me that I already had the most up to date bios before confirming the flash.

Needless to say I didn't take it any further, and at least it checked!
