System Hang with DirectX Win2K drivers?

Hi,

I'm using the 5.00.007 driver with a g400 32Mb dualhead (OEM version). Every time I try to use anything to do with directX (directshow for DVD, directx for screensavers etc) I get a complete system hang. I'm using an SMP dell 410 running build 2128 of win2k.
Has anyone else come across the same problems? Is there a fix/newer driver? Is there a definitive list of issues with the g400 and win2k?

i too have some problems with the same build of win2k. it's my understanding that it is a problem with this build of win2k and not a matrox problem. build 2194 supposedly fixes a lot of stuff and is close to the final product. my only problem is shutting down win2k...no problems starting it!!!
