  • What does Windows want from me?(3Dmark 2000)

This might sound stupid, but here's what I got trying to run 3Dmark2000.exe:

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\MADONION.COM\3DMARK2000\3DMARK2000.EXE

    abnormal program termination

How do I make it work ?

Rebooting didn't do anything, as sugested on 3DMark 2000 FAQs....

I really hopped to get a quick answer, but seems nobody's there... just my luck. I'll be back at 18:00 or 21:00 GMT, to see if someone found me a fix.

It could be possible that you got a bad download.

Joel, I can install 3dmark2000, it's not the self extracting archive, after installing it and wanting to run the program I get that error message.

Yes, I am using DirectX 7, been using it since it got out.

              forgot to put something:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runetime Library (says on the title bar)

              Runtime Error!

              Program:C\PROGRAM FILES\MADONION.COM\3DMARK2000\3DMARk2000.EXE

              abnormal program termination

From what I know C++ is a programing language, so what the heck is my Windows missing ?

(This time I hope there'll be more than one reply per day)

Andrei, check out Electric Paul's thread as he's having the same trouble as you do.
