  • G400 Interrupt

I've read various posts that state the G400 should be on its own interrupt (preferably between 9 & 11). So out of interest I checked mine. It is on interrupt 5 and shares with a Modem Enumerator and PCI steering. Should I try and move it. If so how? My BIOS is set up to auto-configure.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Actually, take a look in your BIOS and there should be some method of assigning IRQ's to individual PCI slots. Maybe someone with a 6167 will post here and give details. If if it is autoconfiguring now, should be easy to put it all back should things not go to plan.

But then again, if it all works...

I had your same problem, I had my g400 on irq 5. After some pain I had all of devices on separate irqs and then it turned out it didn't help my problems at all (I had many of them though).

The moral is just to take EchoWars advice, if everything is fine for you, don't change anything. Unfortunately, all of my shit was screwed, so I was forced to find a fix.
