Matrox DVD player

I've just got the Matrix on DVD and it plays well, but none of the extras work! (eg. scene selections etc), all I can do is play the movie. When I use mediaplayer (registry hacked to play DVD's) all these extras do work. Is there some configuration to do to make it work properly?

Thats a known problem. You need to update the Cinemaster engine which you can download from http://www.dvdutils.com.

IMHO I don't think it plays as smoothly as the bundled version but it does support the "extras" on discs like The Matrix.

If you update the engine, update it to cinemaster version 2.035. I had problems with the 2.036 version. Also, download DVD Genie and you can tweak the new engine to play just as smoothly and with better image quality than the original engine. I use full quality cpu and soft de-interlacing. I tried the Katmai enhanced full quality setting, but found the picture quality to be a little worse. You can find these settings with DVD Genie -highly recommended
Playback is as smoothe as ever!
