  • About refresh rates with Max ???

Could someone give me a tip on how to be able to set my displays to refresh rates higher than 85 Hz? I like to run 100 Hz at 11652x864 but I'm limited to 85 Hz even though I know the monitors are capable of 100 Hz at that resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

    Display Properties
    Settings
    Advanced
    Monitor Settings
    Adjust the current display mode

This will put a test pattern on your monitor and there is a box there that you can use to manually set the refresh rate. Careful though! I don't know what happens if you go over your monitor's capabilities and you get a black screen.

Thanks RAB. Actually I knew how to get there, the prob is everything seems limited 60,75,85 Hz even at the lower resolutions. That's using the simplified controls. I've managed to get the Dell D2026T-HS to 100 Hz using that, but not the Gateway VX900T. Still stuck at 85 Hz. I KNOW it supports it as I was running them both with a pair of Voodoo 3s at 100 Hz for months prior to getting the Max. Driving me crazy !!

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the second head is limited to 85 Hz, due to a different dac...

        Dunno if it's right...
