  • G400 MAX APG problem again!

Last time when I'm experiencing AGP 1X problem on my system with my G400 MAX , you guys suggested me to install the Powerdesk / Drivers (5.30) and ------ it seems to work
    BUT...........................

After installing it, I test the AGP speed with Wcpuid, the CURRENT APG
SPEED IS RUNNING AT 2X! I was so happy at that time, unfortunatly won't
    last long.

After I played NHL2000, and go back to windows, the wcpuid told me that
the AGP speed was in 1X at that time. Then I tried to reboot the system,
    but it won't help.

Finally I decided to reinstall the powerdesk again! And the AGP APPEARED
    TO BE IN 2X again.
After a few hours, I experienced a program crash and end task. After the
restarting of the windows, IT TURNED OUT TO BE IN 1X mode again, pretty
    unstable!

Do u have any other suggestions? thanks ...................

Change your AGP aperture to 256 MB and see if that helps. I believe you had it at 64.

Make sure you have the lastest and greatest drivers for your VIA Apollo Pro 133 motherboard. I just don't know enough about this chipset to provide further help.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Soundblaster Live. I don't have a Soundblaster Live, but I think they're up to Liveware 3.0.

Make sure your G400 is seated properly in the AGP slot.
