  • G400 MAX for sale??

Well *Sigh* guys I might as well chick out this time. I might as well buy a TV-upgrade later on and I'd better forget G400TV and it's all time wonderful video editing features.

OK fine guys I'm still into Matrox.
How is the G400 DH?? I mean, I really want to buy the MAX, but now it seems though it's pretty expensive.. How does the default G400 overclock without a 486 fan or additional thermal compounds??

    THANKS!!!

If you are going to do any overclocking of the regular G400 it is best that you add a fan to it. I attached a 486 CPU fan to the heatsink and I'm able to run mine at MAX speeds without any problems.

very well, I was able to reach max speeds with the card stock and with a little tweaking (fans and heatsinks) I'm over max speeds, the biggest difference is in the faster ramdac and that's only at very high resolutions

I had always been keen that the guys here at the MURC forums are nice - wow this really proves it. Thanks!!!

Well anyways guys I'll see what I could do about the purchase since my money shortages for hardware is sorta getting worse.

Thanks for all who helps me anyways!!!

          jACKYi,
I'm not sure what you mean but here's my story. I had a G400MAX oredered since October at BUY.com, a good company and at a good price $188. My board was due in 1st week in November. Apparently, Matrox stopped delivery on all retail boards until FEBRUARY!!! Is this just because they won many awards a COMDEX and want to get top dollars this Christmas. Boo Matrox! I couldn't find one anywhere (for a good price). I'm also going with a G400TV which kills me to purchase right from Matrox's site (list price), but my system goes together over this next 2 weeks. The holidsys are close now and I can't fool around now. Good luck trying to find a bargain on Matrox board right now. Anyone else have a similar story???
