  • Anyone whohas a K6-2450 and a G400 32 meg AGP non max, please read

My system is a K6-2450 128 megs of sdram , pa-2013rev2.0 mobo and soon to have a g400 32 meg agp non-max card. I have readmany reviews but I want to hear some real world accounts. If you have a similar systemto mine especially the processor and you play alot of games such as quake 3, unreal tournament, shogo, system shock 2 etc. I would like to know how your performance is with the g400 32 meg non-max. Does it suck? Does it rock? Medium hehe what? Any insight would be helpful. I dont play alot of open gl games but i am curious if the opengl icd isas bad as everyone says. *damn matrox include the k6-x processors in the turbogl will ya Also do the latestmatrox drivers have alot of 3dnow support? Thx so much Jediphoenix

Did you not already get some answers in your other thread? And instead of starting a new thread why not just post to the other one to bring it back to the top.

      Hi,

I have a K6-2 400 running with my G400 (my missus nicked my K6-2 450!!) and I suggest you to go and look at the benchmarks recently posted by me and another guy on the Gaming - the link is : http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum4/HTML/001779.html

But to summarise, I find it perfectly acceptable framerate wise, although if you play alot of OpenGL games, maybe you should defect to 3DFX

      Cheers,

      Richie

        Hey RichieJarvis,
I have G200 on a PA2013 (ATX version of VA-503+). What are your BIOS settings, especially in Chipset Features section. Just trying to compare. Does your G400 work AGP 2x or 1x? (not much difference from what I read, but Joneses have 2x, so why can't I?)
        My rig:
        FIC PA2013-1.2, AMD K6-2/350, 128MB PC100, G200 16 MB SGRAM, Tekram DF-390F SCSI UW, WD 13GB, Plextor 40MAX SCSI CDROM, Yamaha CRW4416 SCSI CD-R/W, MX300.
