  • DVDMax, G400 MAX and (my) Stupidity (to the Max)

Um, well... y'all can disregard my previous posting about not being able to use the DVDMax feature.

It turns out, I must have somehow disregarded without seeing the reboot message, so my machine was never properly rebooted to activate that feature *sheepish grin*

All's good now. And hey... the G400 puts out DVD to the TV just about as nicely as my Creative Labs decoder! That's pretty cool. It also looks about 300 times better on the monitor than the CL decoder can handle.

Now if I could just screen grab...

I recently dumped my Encore 5x but cannot get DVD Max working properly with any software DVD player (Zoran / PowerDVD 1.6&2.5. The problem I have is the contrast intermittantly changes from dark to normal. Any other output to TV works fine i.e. Zoom and clone. I have flashed my Pioneer 6x to latest bios and even tried a SCSI version (which really had issues). Any clues out there - or even similar probs?

Hehe... Don't connect the G400 to the VCR... It's the copy-protection... Try to connect it directly to the TV

I suppose thats what you get when your RCA extension will only reach the front of the VCR and not the back of the TV!

          Cheers
