  • G200 don't work in AGP 2x mode

    Hello!

My Matrox Millenium G200 don't work in AGP 2x mode.
The PCI List report the following text:

    --------------------------------------------------------
    AGP transfers
    --------------------------------------------------------
The system board supports up to 2X AGP transfers. The graphics card supports up to 2X AGP transfers.

AGP 1X transfers are currently enabled.

    What is the problem?
I'm using an Abit BH6 motherboard with Win 98 SE.
    THANKS FOR THE HELP!

I must start saying that there isnĀ“t really a difference running 1x or 2x...

Try forcing AGP2x with the Reg hacks and see if it works...

      Why only works it once?
When i restart the computer the registry value changed back to the original value.
      WHY?
      Please help!

Are you running on a SS7 system? You probably won't get the system to run at 2x with a K6-2 or K6-3 CPU.

        ------------------
        K6-2/350@400, 503+ rev 1.2a, 128MB PC100 RAM, Millenium G200, RH6.1 w/ 2.2.12-20, Win98, and too many classes

Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

          It works! I'm stupid. Sorry...
I changed a wrong registry key (AGPFallback), but when I changed the right registry key (AGPFlags) it worked.
          Anyway...
Why isn't the AGP x2 the default for a Slot 1 motherboard with Intel BX chipset?
